    Great UHD HDR monitor !
Vibrant and sharp display especially with true 4k content. Backlight bleed is there but only in dark scenes which is common in IPS panels as they attached LED’s at the edges of the display so a little amount of light comes out of the display which is only noticeable in very dark scenes and in a very dark environment. Black levels are really good. HDR is also doing its work in bright areas but in dark areas, HDR content is not that great as this monitor’s brightness is only 300 nits but HDR10 requires minimum 500 – 600 nits brightness to display darker scenes with good HDR effect. So, it’s HDR capabilities are limited but good in this price range as all the other monitors in this price segment has also the same brightness level (+- 50 nits) but maybe not that great HDR. So overall, it’s a really good UHD HDR monitor with great colour reproduction and good colour accuracy.

    Good monitor for the price!
Overview:The monitor looks great from the design and also works fine. Been using it since last 2-3 days and haven’t noticed any noticeable faults/issues which were pointed by some other reviewers.Design:It looks great. Display bezel is very thin and overall the black/gray finish is appealing. Built quality also looks great with a sturdy stand which tilts a little bit (with some effort)Colour calibration:I already have another 4K LG UK650 monitor which looks slightly more accurate with colours compared to this one, however it’s nothing major. Comparison point has been the MacBook Pro display.I agree with other reviewers that the monitor’s inbuilt colour calibration options are very limited and does not really help in optimising a lot unlike LG which provides a lot more options such as six-colour calibration. But with the help of OS calibration softwares & Graphic cards display drivers, I think better calibration can be done (maybe?) though haven’t tried that yet as it’s very minor and seems to affect only some shades of some colours. I don’t expect 100% perfectly calibrated monitor in this price range anyway but this is good enough to work with.Backlight bleeding:Yes, there is a decent amount backlight bleeding. But I have seen this amount of backlight bleeding in all other monitors under 40-50k (I have used a few of them including BenQ, LG). I kept it side by side with my other monitor LG UK650 and compared backlight bleeding with it – both had almost same amounts of bleeding. In general backlight bleeding is not very noticeable with eyes unless you watch dark scenes in a dark room with high brightness. This is not a case for me, so bleeding is not an issue.Note: Our cameras show the backlight bleeding more prominently than what we can see with naked eye.Viewing angles:Decent viewing angles – no issues. Conclusion:Before buying this display, I didn’t find enough reviews on the net of this exact model number so I was a bit skeptical. But I became more confident when I read reviews for 28″ UR55 monitors sold in other countries. I realised the monitors sold in these other countries are basically same (looks same, same specs), just the last 4-5 digits of the model numbers change which could be a country specific change. They all had very good reviews so I went ahead to buy one. Turns out to be a good purchase so far.

Good monitor, but 50% of times refuses to show Windows login screen (stays blank)
The colours, brightness, viewing angles etc. of the monitor are all good. However, half the times when my desktop boots up, the monitor will show the BIOS/UEFI screen, but not the Windows login screen: the monitor just remains blank.Keep fiddling with the single input button/joystick to get the monitor to recognize that there is a signal coming on the DP input or your can turn the monitor off and back on again. If you turn the monitor off & then on again, the Widows login screen will appear after a couple of seconds. This is very, very irritating. I’ve been using the monitor for 1.5 years now (bought in Dec 2022). If not for this issue, I would have given the monitor 4.5-5 stars in my review.

    Beautiful for its price point
So I got this monitor during the amazon great Indian festival sale for 27k with discounts and I have to say that it is wow. I had my doubts before buying this monitor because of the negative reviews but wow this monitor just did not disappoint. The colors pop, the 4k is crystal clear, you can see a leaf. The HDR though not the best but it is amazing. Ive been using a 1080p monitor since ages and this upgrade was night and day. This monitor is a must buy at its price POINT. The seller Appario, is very reliable and the product was in mint condition.I also have a PS4 Pro and it works perfectly with the monitor. You can see each and every leaf in video games such as Ghost of Tsuhima and its a good investment if you plan to get a PS5.

Faulty panel – thin vertical blue line towards the right side of the screen
I thought I got a pretty good deal after all discounts / deal of the day / cashback / bank offers, etc (~25k), but the monitor I received has a faulty panel. There is a thin (single pixel) vertical blue line running from top to bottom of the screen towards the right side (see photos). I wanted to give Samsung another chance, so wanted a replacement but amazon is giving me only refund as they don’t have the item available from the same seller in stock. I said I am willing to wait for a few days, but they can’t automatically take the replacement request unless the product comes back in stock again. Will update the review if I get a replacement that works. Haven’t really looked for color bleeding issues, but in the few minutes I spent with the monitor, the colors were decent and the viewing angle was good (IPS panel).
